This is the first post to my 2008 blog. In view of a number of interesting projects and the start of a new year, I may as well start a blog to keep a leisure record on this.
Joseph Ng is a professor in Dept. of CS at Hong Kong Baptist
University. He received his BSc, MSc, and PhD from the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1986, 1988, and 1993, respectively.
Prof. Ng is currently the Region 10 Coordinator for the Chapter
Activities Board of the IEEE Computer Society, and is the Coordinator
of the IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitors Program
(Asia/Pacific). He is a senior member of the IEEE and has been a
member of the IEEE Computer Society since 1991. He had been an Exco-
member, General Secretary, Vice-Chair, Chair and now a past Chair for
the IEEE, Hong Kong Section, Computer Chapter. Prof. Ng received the
IEEE Meritorious Service Award from IEEE Computer Society in 2004 and
numerous Certificate of Appreciation from IEEE Computer Society, IEEE
Region 10, and IEEE Hong Kong Section. He is also a member of the IEEE
Communication Society, ACM, Hong Kong Computer Society, and the
Founding Member & Treasurer for the Internet Society (ISOC)-Hong Kong
Chapter.
